Shanghai Expo has chosen the theme “Better City, Better Life.” Covering an area of 11.5 hectares, the pavilion will have exhibitions about the relationship between humans and cities and the entire planet. High-speed rail system on track for 2012 start →
A HIGH-SPEED rail network covering 13,000 kilometers is scheduled for completion in three years, cutting train journey times considerably. A trip between Shanghai and southwest China’s Chongqing, for instance, would take only seven hours compared with up to 43 hours now. (Shanghai Daily)
